Mackie Control Universal Pro.....It's just a midi/USB controller. Solid but WAY overpriced IMO. If I hadn't sniffed out a screamin deal on it I wouldn't have it.

They're great! Almost a little too much low end for where I've got them in the room. But I've run REW and things flattened right out. HUGE upgrade from the 6.5 inch gen 3 pair that I traded these for. The guy said he just wanted smaller speakers

Those are the 8s? I’ve had a pair of 6s for a few years that are pretty much my everyday speakers for my laptop while working. I dig them.They're great! Oh apparently this is what the behringer x touch is cloning. I had looked at those briefly at one point. Looks like the Mackie unit can be had pretty cheaply used

Quite the opposite actually. I'm built like Gimley.Mixer is on an old laptop stand. I've actually got a QL-400 stand under the Xmas tree for it to help with the wheeling it out of the way when not actively mixing.
Now my piano player is 6'4" but that a whole other story!

So for the new design i need to mill out a 1.6mm wide slot for tabs in the top portion of the enclosure! Im trying to step everything up a notch. I also just got a .8mm end mill for milling holes for circuit boards!

Since you’re doing CAD layouts for your blanks, it might be interesting to look into how much it would cost to have them laser cut and shipped to you ready to bend. Might not cost as much as you would think, and especially if you get into something complex like tab and slot stuff it might be worth it.

So tomorrow I’ll be an owner of a little decent desktop cnc! I’m immediately upgrading the motor to a 1.5kw spindle. I’m basically going to be milling out stencils ready to bend…
As for outsourcing the parts…..I thought about it but then I also really wanted to try it out for myself even though on a smaller scale…Im not opposed to outsourcing the enclosure stencils…im just a tinkerer haha

Replacing the OG speaker in my HRDX today. Sweetwater said the speaker was coming this Wednesday, showed up yesterday. The lows of my OG Eminence that came stock has lows that are too flubby and make my guitar sound like a cocked wah. Hoping the RWB will smooth out the lows and preserve the Fender highs I cherish.

So far the transistor scavenging from old radios has gone really well so I'm going for a third attempt with this guy. Should be here in about a week.
