flangers.

i am excited for flangers \m/

been trapped in a black hole of phasers and choruses, but yet build a flanger - so the byzantium and old chap are ready to roll.

I'm on the same path, currently. So far I'm like the LectricFX Flintlock (A/DA) the most, but have a few others in the build / comparison queue

I'm stoked to get building the Sushi Lab Rat, but I've got other things I need to finish up forst

If we’re talking upcoming PPCB projects, it’s gotta be the Beatle Juice Fuzz and the Kewpie Fuzz— the Beatle Juice because I’m an unabashed Beatles nerd and will build as many pedals based around Beatlesque tones and aesthetics as I possibly can, and the kewpie became even though I’m not much of a BMP fan, it’s the first time I had a name I came up with picked for a ppcb board.

Outside of that, I’m most looking forward to a few different projects. I have a few secret ones that I’m hopefully going to be able to build before the year is over now that the semester is over (one more assignment to turn in a day late tomorrow, but otherwise done as of today), but I also have plenty that I’ve been working on graphics for in little increments over the semester to destress a bit— both new boards, and boards that I’ve decided have been in my backlog a bit too long. I also have some collaborative ideas I want to work on next year, though I’m not entirely sure how to go about proposing them since they’re not all the most conducive to digital collaboration. One in particular that I’d like to do is based around the idea of drawing an exquisite corpse (for non-art people here, look it up; super fun party game) with some of y’all or with some of my art school buddies, and putting that as the graphics on one particular build. Y’all can expect to see some more fun Star Wars builds from me, plus some LotR, Monty Python, and art themed stuff (and esoterica/obscure humor in general).

As for original circuits, I think I’ll be sorely disappointed if I try to set any goals for myself any time soon, as I still haven’t gotten around to doing PCBs for stuff that I was saying I’d have boards for a year or two ago.

I have some fun modulation builds planned for the next order of Uv prints, including an Electrovibe, Low Tide Mini, some PLL stuff, and more!

From upcoming builds I'm most excited about the Hydra and the GCI N.E.W. Apostle (a bit scared about them too, they seem like more complicated builds in general plus the Apostle enclosure drill job is a bit of a question mark). From the backlog, probably the General Tso and the Abyss. From upcoming PCB's, the Figment preamp and the Kewpie fuzz probably.

The days will also start getting longer from today so hopefully I can also keep working on my (gasp) music projects next year, with more light and more energy.

After working diligently for a couple of years on the Rockman X100 Rehouse project, and doing scant other pedals in between, I'm looking forward to digging into wah circuits. For the last three years I've been collecting: wah shells, (as well as PCBs, old/discarded populated wah boards), picking Joe Gagan's brain, stock-piling an assortment of wah inductors (some pretty pricey and pots), and as many wah schematics as I can get my hands on. I've even resurrected an old inductor-less wah circuit and had a nice set of PCB Gerbers drafted for the Parapedal Wah. So I'm excited about finally getting back into my pedal-circuit-exploration plan and focusing on wahs.
(Some pics to come in a subsequent post.)

I’m most excited about tube amps for 2024. There’s a dead one on the bench I’m hoping to get going, then probably start thinking about kits, although the idea of a scratch build is the most exciting.

Watching @steviejr92’s enclosure building journey has me excited to get back on trying to design and build some boxes.

Put an Eminence RW&B into my HRDx and I'm loving it. Waiting on a G12M-65 for my Marshall JCM2000 and also waiting on a PRS SE 277 Baritone to come through. Can't wait to run both amps at the same time through my Radial amp splitter through the Derailer/ADHD/Gen Tso/Big Sky and wail the roof off!

Well I hate to be #1 but, I recently acquired a fender super champ x2 head with a bad preamp board. My understanding this can be bypassed and can use as a tube power amp. But I think I’m going to gut it and see what I can make for an amp with the pt/ot chassis and head cab it’s at my brothers still though so need to drive the hour to go get it. Will be my January start project.
I picked up one a couple years ago for $50. I was going to mod the FX stage but it was in great shape (made in 2021) so I stuck a couple of TAD Red Bases (which cost more than the amp) and Bingo! I've got too many amps so it doesn't get much love.

Looking forward to building The Behemoth, a couple of Deucetone Rats, a Sproing Reverb, and the Pro Ten dual. Now, where did I put that solder station....
They seem to withdraw into the shadows into a deep depression when not used regularly. As soon as mine returns from therapy we plan to reignite the magic. :ROFLMAO:
