Best band of the 90’s…

This 1991 Duet helped Johnny Cash back into the Country scene, it was his song from the 50's:
The CD version has way better clarity than this version, It's my ringtone!!!:

They are in my book, so I’ll include John Scofield’s A Go Go band along with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones as among my favorite 90s groups.
That's actually the album that drew my attention to both Scofield and MMW. Showed up in the used section of the record store I worked at in college. The employee discount definitely came in handy that day.

I loved Radiohead until I saw them play live. That gig really dented my appreciation for them. One of the very worst concerts I have ever been to.

I don't have loads of '90s bands I listen to. Bad Seeds definitely. Beasts Of Bourbon, The Sundays, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Nick Curran... We never get tired of BRMC in our house. And they are incredible in concert, unlike Radiohead. Thing is, we live in the most isolated city in the world, so I guess bands are exhausted by the time they get here. BRMC were the last time I saw them but they still put on a great show.

I guess the Sugarcubes just count as a '90s band. I saw them in 1990 and met Bjørk and Einar backstage. Great band, wonderful people.

The music I listened to in the 90s is not the same as the music from the 90s that I listen to now
Same here. R.E.M. was one of my favorites then, but no longer. My 90s favorites are Metallica and Collective Soul. Also Third Eye Blind. I’m also a big fan of Social Distortion and the Gin Blossoms.

This thread is making all nostalgic… here’s one that I liked but didn’t get much love
Did you hear the hopesfall album Matt Talbot produced(the Satellite Years)?
It was remastered earlier this year. So good!

There was so much great music that it's hard to pick, but I still listen to a lot of Alice in Chains. Jerry is a genius. His solo stuff is great too. STP is also very very solid and never go the respect they deserved.

I saw bela fleck and the flecktones at the mt hood festival of jazz in 98 good show, also saw Steve Bailey and victor wooten do their bass extremes thing in 97. Going to see the wooten brothers in Portland in a couple weeks.

I saw the Wooten Family Band at the Aladdin in Portland sometime in the mid 90s, back when my now-wife would have me pick a date night show in Portland or Seattle a few times a year. She absolutely loved it, as with most of my picks back then. Have fun!
