Let’s see some guitars and amps. I’m sure this has been done before but whatever.

I’ve got my 72 bassman 50 with bandmaster cab (has 2 mojotone anthems). The jc-40 amazing amp IMO and the monoprice sitting on an all ply cab I have no idea of its origins but it sounds fantastic and currently has one of those eminence Alnico fender speakers from the hand wired twins the amp sounds awesome through this cab. Guitars are a 92 les paul studio my very first electric I got in 8th grade June of 94 (I missed my 8th grade dance to go pick it up from a classified in the Oregonian) and a 2020 mexi players strat. Here's some. I need to get newer pics!

All current except the Blackmore strat was traded since the pic for a new Les Paul Special (single cut, tv yellow). I can break down what they are if anyone cares.

-DrZ Maz 18 head (updated to mk2 spec, going to be for sale soon)
-Soldano SLO 30 (also for sale soon)
-Handwired 5e3 Deluxe style (keeping for now, but considering sale for the right price)
-Handwired Princeton Reverb style (never for sale)

FX
- Line6 Helix Rack and HXFx
- modded CryBaby Clyde McCoy Wah
- MXR Talkbox
- about 40ish pedals built myself, with boards/parts for another 30

How is the JC40 for playing lead guitar (overdrive pedals)?

I'm looking at new amps, been playing a Fender HRDX for 25+ years and looking to get something different. Having a tube and solid state amp definitely appeals to me. Have been looking at the JC line for the past 3 years and considering getting the JC40. Only problem is, I'll never get a chance to try it before I buy it.

I'm in love with the Fender cleans, but looking for an amp that will help my humbuckers fly with note clarity, just a solid volin type screaming lead tone for my next amp. The HRDX is a great amp, but once you start driving the amp hard, it starts to sound no bueno. Already have a Marshall and want to stay away from that.

And now for something completely different:

AudioKinesis Thunderchild 112AF (acoustic friendly) with PW8B 500 watt DIY head:

The AF suffix refers to the back firing secondary tweeter:

I do use that rig for guitar synth with my Heritage electric occasionally, but it's definitely better suited to this new one:

I have a 100 watt tube one in the works for bass and electric guitar as well, but it keeps getting pushed back in the build queue, somehow.

To be honest I don’t think I’ve ever driven it super hard. I pretty much always play clean or with something low gain like a chop shop on it.

The built in reverb leaves something to be desired. But really is an awesome sounding amp.

Not all of my gear but it’s all I really need. I need a vibe to get me in the right head space… and for me personally that might be more important than any specific piece of gear.

Here is a rack I build to store my guitars on. I left a few extra spaces for it to grow.

This is a made in Japan Fernandes LE-2 I have had since I was about 16. It has been through a ton of configurations but now is back to mostly stock but with a set of Fender Yosemite pickups. I would like to eventually get the matching telecaster to go with it.

I play this guy a lot. It is mostly stock except for the set of Dimarzio pickups(some Steve Vai endorsed ones, not sure I love them, came installed). It’s super light and comfortable to play. I bought it a few years ago when a spine issue I was having made my other guitars too uncomfortable to play. I am doing much better now and can play them all again.

This is the last of the 3 I mostly play. It’s all stock. The pickups as far as I understand are a copy of Dimarzio distortions. It’s a goofy bolt on LP but aside from a bit of a cheap bridge is a well made guitar and comfortable to play.

The GL-100 will split into a bunch of outputs that I either send to pedals, to the racks, or direct to the mixer. The mixer is stereo so I have a bunch of options for signal routing. I think the mixer needs some caps replaced but I haven’t gotten to it yet. I picked this up as a project as I liked the line 6 Helix a lot but hated the menu diving. So the idea of the project is kind of to build an analog equivalent without any menu diving required. The cabinet still needs some legs made for it then I will make a tiered pedalboard that neatly tucks under it.

For anyone curious the DailyDovetails screen name I use refers to a time in my life when I practiced cutting dovetails by hand everyday until I got decent at it. The case in this picture I made with no power tools.

Kind of longer post than I was anticipating writing to this but when the inspiration strikes….
