That's a wish list guitar there. Soft-v and rosewood is something I yearn for. How's the V on the neck? For so many years, this was my white whale. I was able to score one from a buddy, and it’s everything I want out of a Strat! The look and feel, the playability, and the sound.. [chef’s kiss] She’s about 8 years old now and wearing nicely.
Presenting, the Eric Johnson Sig:
"Soft" is an appropriate descriptor. It's very comfortable with its 12” radius! After going through a partscaster-building craze a few years ago, I've found it to be a Goldilocks carve for my tastes. The modern C is much thinner (almost too thin), and the deep C on the AO series was too clunky. That's a wish list guitar there. Soft-v and rosewood is something I yearn for. How's the V on the neck?
I used to own one of those Godin and I regret selling it every day.I have two true sweethearts in the guitar world. Yamaha RGX-TT (Ty Tabor) and a Godin classical. Spent a good many years looking for both. Both are bone stock but the Godin had a lot of damage to the neck mounting screws and needed a bit of TLC. Both play like a dream.
Is that Dick Dale's signature on that small amp in the background? My number one is my 2005 SG Standard Natural Burst with a big fat 50's neck.Alnico3 61 rhythm, and Super 57 treble for the pickups. I've requested that it be burned on the pile with me when I go.
