Tayda UV Printing

Those enclosures were in stock for maybe a week before they sold out. The same thing happened a couple months ago with the candy red and candy copper enclosures, which are now back in stock and have been for the last couple of weeks. My guess is that Tayda is ordering small amounts of new powder to test quality and customer demand before deciding whether to stock it regularly. You could always email Tayda and ask if they plan on restocking those colors; they've always been very responsive whenever I've contacted them.

I hope they do. I'm one of the lucky ones who got a blue and purple and they're awesome. Already put a drebbel in the blue box.

I have the candy blue, candy green and candy copper. Nothing built in any of them yet. Been doing some staging of builds recently so haven’t built much.

My first Tayda UV print was delivered last night. I used the Inkscape/Scribus workflow described here* and was shocked when it arrived looking exactly as I’d hoped. Really happy with the way this looks on winked silver with clear top coat. The @dmnCrawler templates were a godsend and @Dan M ’s Inkscape/Scribus instructions were excellent.


*I didn’t realize you can deselect “stack scans” when vectorizing in Inkscape and ended up spending ~an hour manually subtracting each of the fish’s color layers from one another to eliminate any overlap. Somehow I didn’t make any mistakes.
