Today’s Eclipse- anyone else in the path?

We’re headed to some friends’ house in Indy to be in totality. Should be pretty cool! The local schools have the day off due to a built-in snow day.

where I am in NY is a few hours away from the path of totality, while I’m on campus today, I should be able to expect to see 89.6% coverage at 3:26 pm today.

I’d love to be able to try shooting some photos, but I don’t have a telephoto lense yet bc old nikkor bunny-ear lenses aren’t cheap
Got the right kind of solar protection film for fashioning a lense filter tho, so yeah…

This is about the same for where I am in Atlanta - around 85%-90% totality, at around 3:04 PM.

At 98,9% here (Ottawa area), just a tiny bit shy of the total eclipse.
Schools also closed here, but the day care was open. Picking up the kids shortly, and we have our polarized glasses ready!

We're only getting 2/3 coverage here at around noon. Right in the prime solar production for the day.

I used a welding hood for the one in 2017. But being auto-darken, I had to ride the “test” button to force it dark lol

I have an auto that I love, but this definitely seems like a job for the old school fixed shade.

Love those, I came really close to buying an E-II a few years ago for a screaming deal, but it had a floyd rose, and that's a deal breaker for me. They are sexy guitars.

I'm 94% totality at 2:07PM, I have a meeting that ends at 2:00 then planning to head outside with my eclipse glasses, look up long enough to say "cool" then head back inside.

Our kids' school is open but they'll be taking the kids out class at a time with glasses so they can all take a look.

I got this in the early 2000s because ESP/ltd was on of the first companies I found other than fender to not treat lefties like a second class customer…and actually offer a full featured product without gouging us (f*€k PRS…) I still really like this guitar

I work in a room with a lot of natural light. It's pretty hard too see in here now. Outside looks as if I have a pair of sunglasses on, but I do not.

About 90% totality in KC metro.

Everyone from my meeting went straight outside to check it out and there were hundreds of people outside already. Nothing is getting done here for the next hour or so, I wonder how much it's costing the company lol
