Had been working on getting this guy back in working condition.
The serial number indicates that it's from the 1920s. The motor works just fine, all this thing needed was a new belt, new wiring, and a new tire for the bobbin winder.

I don't sew at all, but I've always loved the beauty of the vintage sewing machines and check them out any chance I get.
There was a fantastic Hong Kong shop — well, a few actually but one in particular — that did sewing-machine repairs and was practically a sewing-machine museum to boot.
My wife's is a foot-treadle powered one, '20s or '30s I forget.
Maybe I should get into car upholstery. Or restoring Kustom amps and cabs, that'd give me an excuse to get a vintage industrial-grade sewing machine...
