Single knob overdrives?

Apologies if this was covered. Are there any PedalPCB single knob overdrive besides the Je T'aime?

I was wondering about this too. I have some sweet vintage knobs that I only have singles of.

I know of the El Sol and the Ginormous fuzz for one knobbers. I’ll check out the Je T’aime.

Searching “1-knob” in the shop returns some boosts and a noise gate that are 1 knob projects.

Tchula (Dialectric Boost) is a kind of mild OD. Probably quite similar to the Je T'aime but with a slightly different flavour.

Going off the rails here, but whatever... One-knobber with documentation for a handful of possible fuzz circuits (mellow to extreme - the colorsound version might be to your liking when dialed in gently). Quite versatile, but yeah, no drive. I don't think you'll find anything worthwhile in that segment.

You can also make a three knob into a one knob fairly easily. Either hard value the volume and tone, or make them internal trim pots.

I was shocked when I saw this online for the low parts count. The gain pot can be substituted for your guitar's volume knob. An excellent breadboard candidate to tweak to the values you like. Sounds pretty good as is, but you can adjust the cap values for bass control.

Propolis fuzz is a zero knob project. Add a fake pot to it and see the placebo effect with fellow guitar players.

Take any fuzz/distortion and reduce the gain.




Also, using the forum search-engine with "one-knob" or "one-knobber" works so much better than "single knob" — took me ages to find this thread again!

It's a Big Muff stripped of its tone and recovery stage, the gain is an internal trimmer that most people leave pegged.
You could skip the vero and easily build this on just about any PedalPCB Muff-based board.
If you used the Muffin Factory with all internal controls you'd have room for a REALLY BIG SINGLE KNOB!
