This is under the both good news and bad news heading. I've been in my same role at my company for 12 years, and in 12 years, you just start to get burned out. There was some shit that the company (my bosses in particular) put me through to get a promotion, things that definitely burned some bridges for me. I had been unhappy with my role and the people I was working for for quite a while.
So the good news is this week I started in a new role at the company, in the product development part of the company. I was always on the post-launch side of things, so I am excited about the new challenge, and especially being away from people that I lost respect for over the years. The bad news portion is that I feel like I am in wayyyy over my head over here. Even though its the same company and same general products, its a whole new world. Its that first day of school feeling, but weird to have as an adult
This is just a feeling that will pass, and I'm sure in a few short months, all those feelings will go away.
