What's for dinner?

No pics, 'cause my Fettucini Carbonara didn't turn out creamy and smooth. Probably because I didn't have any fresh Pecorino Romano and subbed in powdered-Parmesanot 😒...
No porcine-product, just mushrooms and black olives sautéed in garlic and butter... Wife is vegetarian. Lotsa freshly ground black-pepper made it at least edible.
 
I see a bit of creamy dressing under the chorizo.

I used to do this super-basic dressing that was just avocados blended into carrot juice and lemon juice to the right consistency. But I got rid of the juicer.
My Hass avocado tree is freakin' LOADED with fruit this year. I like making a very thin mix of water, avocado, lemon, vinegar, roasted green chilies and garlic powder as a condiment for salad as well as burgers and just about everything else.

But it's the EASY button tonight. Banquet "Back yard BBQ" tv dinners, lol.... Extra butter for the corn and potatoes tho....

I'll admit, I winced at the sight of that mcriblet. Not that it's anything but a lateral move from the store brand frozen pizza I'm slinging to my kids tonight. I'm eating out of the neighboring freezer, who am I to judge?

The McRib always made me sick to my stomach, but then most Mickey D's food does. This is actually a pretty good patty, but doesn't really taste like ribs. I added some Tabasco and Stubs bbq sauce. Not Bad!!!
 
It does say Ranch dressing in the first post! I have the tabasco on my desk 'cuz otherwise I forget about it. Getting old is hell....

I'm sorry, I have a really bad tendency of reading over things!

Next time you do that salad make it with a chipotle honey vinaigrette.

- 3 tablespoons of red wine vinegar
- 2-3 cloves garlic
- 1-2 chipotle peppers w/ Adobe sauce from the can
- 1-2 tablespoons honey

Start blending and slowly pour in 1/2 cup veggie or canola oil until it all emulsifies. Then another 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.

The only thing I've tasted worse than McRibs was ... nothing I can think of off hand — burnt Borax maybe?
Though, McRibs never made me as violently ill as Taco Hell did.

Ya gotta have fiber if yer gonna be regular, and you gotta be regular if yer gonna be happy.
Half a tablespoon of coconut oil does the trick. My doctor said "Oh it will add ten years to your life". When I asked her why she didn't recommend it she said "I'm not allowed to"

Too cheap....

Popcorn made with butter flavored coconut oil is great too....fiber and coconut........ non-hydrogenated tho, that stuff will clog your arteries.
 
A few days ago I made a giant meatloaf to see if my kids would like it. Thankfully they did not so it's been meatloaf sammies for me all week. I included some ground pork with the beef, cooked down a ton of mushroom and onion to blend into the eggs and used a bunch of German mustard in the glaze so it kind of has bratwurst vibes.

Also, leftover hand shaven noodles with pork from a place i used to live next to. Unfortunately they gave me the "gringo" spicy treatment so it was practically mild and barely any szechuan peppercorn. Still, it's some of the best Chinese in this city. It used to be so blindingly spicy that I never realized there's 5 spice in it before today and I used to eat there twice a month.
