I’ve failed you all

My soldering iron is cold and dusty.
I haven’t played my electric in 6 months.

I have too many Fuzz pedals.

I spent the break between Xmas and New Years selling tons of shit to buy…

Forgive me if you can…
Another acoustic…

My callouses are almost as thick as the tone coming from this miraculous spruce and rosewood masterpiece…

I’m sorry… I’m unplugged and loving the filthy joy of flesh on wire. From my fingers to my ears, unaugmented by electronic gimcrackery…

But I can help wondering what a germanium pick might do to enhance the tone.

AS WAS FORETOLD IN THE PROPHECY!

I play a LOT of acoustic. That said, this is winging it's way to me. Should be here in time for my 69th birthday on 03/20.....

I should be done with my '59 Bassman 5F6-A by then as well. Working very slowly on this for the past three years. Bought the pine, did the dovetails and finished with satin poly.

I even mocked up my own tube chart. Courier Gothic. A real PITA with both expanded and compressed spacing, as well as old style extra spaces to make block text at the bottom.

I literally only have to solder up the five rectifier wires and ***this is done***

I didn't do ANY work on this from April to January. Got a cold spell. As was foretold in the prophecy....

🍻

Is that acoustic a Larivee? I'm seeing more and more of them around, both online and in local shops. Which means they have travelled a very long way! Hw do you think it compares with the Martin it appears to be inspired by? (I'm not a huge Martin fan FWIW)

But seriously, good on you man. I dabble in acoustic and even a little mandolin, just something ab having an instrument that has a beautiful voice sans electricity. Weird how even though they are both guitars, playing techniques are sometimes totally different.

Well, good to hear from you, even if we now have to hunt you down and put you down. Your preference is cremated or buried?

I do miss the glowing marbles and sultry sweeps of wire within your builds. Really, was wondering how you're doing.

I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.

You're going to have to let me know how that one ends up. I already have a semi-hollow Les Paul, semi-hollow strat, and semi-hollow tele. If there's a decent semi-hollow SG I can add to that mix, I'm sold.

Yes, its a P03R from the custom shop.

Sitka with Rosewood.

I haven't played it side by side with a Martin but I have played an 0-18 which to my recollection is pretty similar sounding.

I played a Mahogany version of this Larrivee but when I tried this rosewood version I was sold.

It's the most "polite" guitar I own, very clean and punchy. Way louder than I expected it to be.

Someone clearly hasn't read the rules...
I've got probably a dozen completed PedalPCB boards all built and ready to make enclosures for. I'll get to it and I'll make Robert proud of me again...

I actually funded the Larrivee by selling a LOT of commercial pedals that had become obsolete once I built my personalized PPCB version.

I'm down to two commercial pedals on my board.

Oh man, I’m way jealous of your semi….what?
