Yep- I use two loop switchers chained together. Each song has it’s own bank, and I set up the presets I need for that song. So my thinking was the lights changing along with the guitar sound changing would be pretty cool.
I was perusing ebay one day and saw decent deal on a Rockman stereo chorus/echo... I clicked on the auction to check it out only to find I was already the HIGH bidder. long story short I won.
Edit: Too bad these comments are late for the previous mailbox page... hehe
Just got this assemblage of misfits courtesy of @Dan0h
Will give me some stuff to dick around with for a bit.
Already swapped the transistors in the Duocast for a BC549, and an unmarked silicon that measures 41 hfe, as the OC71 and BC207 were fairly anemic sounding. Now it gets up into huge n heavy territory
Gonna try to fill up the rest of the space in the Low Tide with some more pots n toggles, maybe an auxiliary circuit or two (after cleaning it up a bit- he wasn't lyin' about it not being pretty on the inside )
The Twin Face sounds great, but I'm not entirely sure I see a big enough difference between the two modes as is, so will probably screw with the PNP side
The Bluesbreaker is begging to be bastardized with the Suhr Riot, but is otherwise cool
The Bassballs needs to be resoldered, as a few joints seem to have gone cold causing intermittence, but otherwise sounds nice n funky
The Sunn emulator is nice n heavy, probably won't mess with too much there.
The Supro thing is cool, but a little tame, so gonna muck with the bias a bit
Not sure what I think of the Tactical fuzz yet, but seems kinda dark n woofy
The thing with the cute lil guyon it is a Distortion3 built by @jjjimi84 which is actually pretty cool, and I'm gonna leave as is for something to grab when I want something a little different from my standard Rats
It is outstanding! The first channel is way more versatile than I thought it was going to be. The amp is immediate and punchy, has this beautiful dirty/clean kind of sound with single coils. Channel two is right fucking insanity, so much gain it is outrageous. The gain has never been past noon and it is way more than I would ever need.
This is all from maybe an hour or two of playing, so there is a bit of love juice in the air. I will say it impressed me so much that I bought the Jack and have zero buyers remorse.

I eyeballed the kraken for a while but never pulled the trigger because I don’t need another loud amp I will never play, so I will live vicariously through you..
My “Some Kinda DRV” arrived today. This kinda shit is why we need IAIGF to come back in 2026
I’ve seen a lot of crap arrive to people over the last few days as the Some Kinda DRVs started shipping out, but I think this may very well be the worst one yet, by far. Circuit is DRV2 Standard, for those of you interested to know that. A shoddy blue spray paint job, with black acrylic sloppily applied over the top… and it even came with a genuine Matt Hoopes pube embedded in the paint job.
Any 1981 fanboys wanna buy this off me to own encapsulated Matt DNA?
Ouch. I feel like I should try to right the ship before it tips over haha. No pubes, but likely some cat hair (from my cats).
I've bought the H9 Max twice, both times I ended up selling it because it just sounded wrong to my ears. So when the H90 came out of course I decided to buy it too haha. On paper it should have been awesome, and really I just wanted it to cover my stereo modulation needs... I finally gave up on it the other week and sold it and bought the Chroma Console to replace it.
I am digging it so far but I feel like I still want a dedicated true stereo chorus, maybe a Waza Craft Dimension C. Maybe a Strymon Deco V2. I have the Meris Mercury X and LVX and both have a some decent choruses but I'm feel like I'm missing some sound in my head.
Speaking of buying pedals twice, this is my second Doom 2. I also have a Octabvre Mk 3.33 coming too, this will be my 2nd Octabvre too. Anyway, the Doom 2, I don't love it by itself but going into mid-to-high gain amp it sounds awesome. I really missed the Octabvre though, and I know the Doom 2 sounds great with it so here we are.
I really appreciate the design and attention to detail he puts into these pedals. Like if you have a home intruder, and threw it at them, they'd be a goner.
