EQ for Upright Bass?

I'd lean to the Equilux, but I'll certainly be trying out the Drebbel, too, once it's built.

Alas, I'm not gigging at the moment — just the occasional jam or open-mic night.

However...
The most important EQ for upright, IMO...
Anyone want to recommend a PedalPCB board that would work best as an EQ for upright bass
@jdduffield, I can't emphasize this enough (hence the quote and "@" shoutout)...

A GOOD HPF!

or

I feel quite strongly about this topic, as I had a gigging experience where I had no HPF for the first set (boomy, horrible intonation 'cause I couldn't hear the notes, made the whole room throb and Band-Leader NOT happy, audience wanting to puke and questioning "WTFudgsicle's going on?"... 'twas truly horrible. Tres MAL for an entire freq'n set. Then...

Got HPF up and running again for 2nd and 3rd sets — no mushy-flubby-drubby, just crisp full beautiful dark-chocolatey BASS, could hear my (bad) intonation, band-leader happy again, audience enjoying the music finally ...

Made me a true-believer.

I had HPF on my Radial PZed-Pre, but it was just a switch so only helped a little. Then I got the Francis Deck HPF (FDeck III). Used it from when I got it to the above scenario... gigs/jams/rehearsals/any-amplification-situation — won't leave home without HPF. Works well on slabass, too, because the amp & speaker(s) are not trying to produce useless rumble so the amp runs cooler, better sound from amp and speaker(s).

Fdeck schematic has been graciously made public by Mr Deck. I've got a Perf layout for it, PM if interested.
