I had a couple similar complaints over the years, one from a person who had an original.

At the time I could only verify that the circuit "worked", I couldn't verify that it worked right... and being a Lo-Fi effect, it can be difficult to judge.

I have an original now but haven't gotten around to opening it up or rebuilding another LoFinator to compare against... it's on my wishlist.
