Drawing some inspiration from @swelchy's rad AF Tippy Tap Tap, I have engineered myself an equally complex pedal. Schematic available to experts only. I don't want a bunch of stupid followup questions from n00bz about how this thing works.

Jokes aside, I've got it at the end of my chain to ground the amp's input so I don't have to hear a bunch of unpleasantness while I'm making pedalboard changes and being too lazy to get off my ass and turn the amp down. 1590G.

I've got the right-sized legend plate on the way from Mouser. That one is for a much bigger switch.

And those are reflections on the switch's epoxy, not puddled solder. (Your boy ain't about to let that happen... let alone post it.)

"On" is passing signal to the amp. If I were going to play it out, I think I'd want a footswitch and LED. I'd probably also wire it up with stranded wire. I don't trust the rigidity of point-to-point for gigging treatment. My playing is embarrassing enough without equipment failures.

I could only advance my music career by killing my signal....

Which reminds me of the director and/or sound guy who did the music-loving world the hugest solid in the history of live performances by eventually killing Yoko's mic when she horned her way on stage with Lennon and Chuck Berry.

I doubt the wailing of the damned would be as upsetting as seeing Yoko perform.

For the record, I do play a little better than Yoko "sings".

I have it wired like the top. No issues so far, but I've only tested it direct in. Haven't actually tried it with an amp yet. Any pops or clicks I'll try the bottom configuration to ground the output instead of leaving it open.

I swear, that's not only the most compelling thread I've ever read on the forum, it's one of the most compelling threads I've ever read on any forum. I went into it cold this morning and was mesmerized.

$460 for a pedal that I'm pretty sure Wampler thought of first but didn't go through with because he didn't think a YATS with a Baxandall would generate enough interest.

People talk shit about sound guys all the time, but indeed they can be unsung heroes too! Therefor, your video reminded me of this eurohouse track, where it seems that after two minutes or so the sound guy can't take it anymore and dimes the guitar as to drown her voice out. Poor girl. 😅
