This Week on the Breadboard: ROG Tri-Vibe

I may be the only person who would ever want this, but I for my Tri-Vibe I wanted something like the Leslie Speed Switch that would slowly ramp up or down when switched between fast and slow speeds.

    British Royalty voltages?

    Thank you Robert!

    British Royalty voltages?

Hi folks, any particular voltages for the British Royalty Overdrive? I got mine to around 4.5v and it sounds very close to the demos I’ve heard. Maybe not quite as much breakup on mine so that’s why I was wondering if I should just set the trimmers by ear once I get them in range.

    Can pedals “go bad?”

Good suggestions, thanks! This is the version I made. Having the 6.8k resistor as a trim pot might be worth doing too.

    Can pedals “go bad?”

I made a Lumpy’s Tone Shop Lemon Drop on vero like six or seven years ago. I came to really like it a lot and it’s been pretty much my main pedal since then. But lately I feel like the distortion has become kind of over saturated compared with how it usually sounds and there doesn’t seem to be...

    New-ish Builds in Old Enclosures

I have a few enclosures that I ended up liking better than the circuits that went in them, so rather than let them sit there unused I've been looking for something to swap in. The orange one was a transistor Muff Fuzz that just never really did it for me. But I really like the way the...

    Mojito Mark 3

For me, I usually fiddle with the switches until I get a sound I like and then rarely touch them again. A lot of times I'll just set them up as jumpers on the board so I don't need extra parts or drill holes in the enclosure.

    SOLVED No power after enclosure

Is your 9v jack the switched kind? I can never remember which of the 2 hot lugs is switched and which is not so I bridge them with a little piece of cutoff resistor lead.

    Lightspeed clone (stripboard content)

a good yellow like that is hard to find! I need to give this circuit a try someday. . . . .

    Tonebender MKI x3

Finally finished up these MKIs I've had on the bench for several months. I love them!! These are generic PNP sets I got recently from Small Bear. I started out with them in the MKI circuit on a breadboard (first time breadboarding for me). I created on layout on perf (another first for me) and...

Got my MKI working on a breadboard. Now what?

    It's a Madbean Road Rage 2019 version (y)

Got my MKI working on a breadboard. Now what?

I'm planning to do a proper build report, but thought I would put these here to kind of bookend this thread. The silver MKI is built to standard specs and the gold is Castledine specs. There was MKI pain but they sound great. 😅

Got my MKI working on a breadboard. Now what?

I made a new layout that puts all the pads except the -9v on the bottom row and turned the transistor orientations to allow more space if you have long leads you want to bend. Verified!!

Sunnyscopa Inkjet Waterslide wrinkles when it dries :-/

I think I have some Micro Sol somewhere, I'll see if I can find it and give it a shot. Thanks! (y)

Sunnyscopa Inkjet Waterslide wrinkles when it dries :-/

I've been using Papilio Inkjet waterslide decal paper for years but decided to try the Sunnyscopa paper because it's easier to find and slightly cheaper. I did the same process I had been doing for the Papilio paper. When I apply the decal there's often a little area around the drill holes where...
