Flange with no Name, AION or DEFX?

Hey there everyone -

I'm seriously contemplating building up a Lovetone Flange With No Name project, and I see that Dead End FX has the ?Enigma?, and Aion Effects has the Xenotron.

They seem to have similar BOMs and roughly equal difficulty with sourcing as well as expense.

Does anyone have any experience with both? My experience has been better with Aion in that they tend to come with more complete documentation and are built for more standard enclosures. I've built a DEFX Calypso which I've been troubleshooting/fighting with for a couple of months, which I am hoping is not coloring my opinion too much.

If there's anything I'm missing, though, I'd sure love to hear about it!

I've built neither but I've done other lovetone pedals from both companies. Seconding what @spi said, I'd go aion but I've never had any issues with DEFX other than enclosure size choices. DEFX meatyballs is comically big for what's essentially a mutron filter.
