2.54mm Ribbon Cable Strippers???

Does anyone have a lead on a good tool that will strip 2.54mm pitch ribbon cable?

Only one I saw when searching - expensivo, and I have no knowledge how good it is.
Automation Direct is a good site, I've bought good controllers and stepping motors from them.

Not a good tool but I've used silicon insulated ribbon cable and a light score with a razor blade on each side gets you a clean strip.

the regular style adjustable automatic wire strippers do it, mine fit 6p ribbon cable in em just fine (that's the max). They do leave teeth marks on it though

I've got one of those too... ate my cable for lunch...

I found if I adjusted mine all the way clockwise then back off about 2 turns (not full rotations) it was just right. Takes a little time.

Are you using the thinner or the thicker ribbon cable? I adjusted in all directions with mine and it still pierced the insulation (I'm using the SBP thicker ribbon cable).

The 3M stuff from Digikey, red stripe on one end.

I use the same tool as Nostradoomus. It’s funky at first so use scrap but once you get the screw dialed in it works pretty good. Not great but pretty good, lol.
