Powersound Boost C9

So, what's the deal with C9 in this one https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/pcb530/

The silkscreen on the board has a spot for either a 4u7 or 220n cap. The schematic has 4u7.

Only thing I can gather it's due to different versions of the original?

Has anyone built this and does the C9 make a big impact?

According to schematics the early versions used a 4.7uF capacitor, where the later versions used a 220nF.

I prototyped this one with a 4u7 and the Overdrive with 220nF but didn't A/B them because of other differences in the circuit.

I would probably suggest try a 4µ7 first and see if it's too boomy. If it is then just swap to a 220n. I like how Robert has set up the board because it will be easy to make the swap as you're not trying to resolder in holes which have already had a part in there.

Good call. I may just throw sockets and try both. I don't think it would make too much of a difference with either value but I'll have to test.
