Here is the last Destiny Behemoth out of me for quite a while, I forgot how time consuming they are to make! This is in a 1590xx enclosure that gets taped off and then primed and then hydro dipped and clear coated. After the clear cot is nice and dry, the lettering and Cardinals logo was painted on there and clear coated. The led was a last minute position change but is a great addition. The circuit was tweaked according to this POST and is HIGHLY recommended.

These mods extend the range of the channels offering up a much wider range of tone. After finishing this one up, I went back and modded mine and have really liked the changes.

Here birdy birdy birdy !

That looks amazing with the green forest swirling behind the cardinal and the very berry-red knobs...

Usually at this time of year, at my Mom's the cardinals get drunk on the Mountain Ash berries, but we didn't have the freeze/thaw/freeze/thaw this year to ferment the berries... so no cardinals flying into the kitchen/dining windows this year. Not yet, at least...

Anyway, if you squint you can see the Destiny Behemoth monster hiding in the foliage, like a predator, ready to eat the cardinal...
That was planned, right?

When the idea to have me make this thing came up, I heard he liked cardinals and was excited. My son and I get a kick out of birds and painting them is always fun, I was a bit let down when I was informed it was a Baseball thing.

My original idea was the branch extending across the hydro dip with a cardinal on it, maybe for the next one. The idea of drunken cardinals is now even more appealing!

If I look hard enough I see all kinds of things and then shit my pants.
Man thats a beaut. I still have a board sitting in my I’ll get to that one of these days piles!
Thank you! It is quite the undertaking and although amazing and worth it, it is more than just your average build. When you do it, please do the suggested mods and if you need copies of the paperwork or anything just hit me up.

Put a bird on it is always a solid art plan. Some excellent bird pedals around here lately.

My behemoth is getting near the top of the queue! I’ll try my best to remember to do those mods.

Nice 1 Dan. Almost thought you made it for a St Louis fan, branch looks like a bat ;)

I did the punch mod because when I built mine it was only caps I had and couldn't source the originals the 8n2/3n3 replaced. hope getting the other 3 parts out from behind the pots isn't to big a 'rhoid......

It is for a St Louis Cardinals fan, I was initially under the impression they wanted a real cardinal.

The other three mods are pretty easy to get to, took about 30 minutes max.

I don't know, if you put a real Cardinal on it, would the Cardinal stay put or wander off to mass or something... ?

I guess it'd stay put if the Cardinal was dead, but ... ewwwwww!

I almost posted a pic of a real cardinal, deceased, but I desisted in deference to not making the forum's ornithologists ornery.

Not to put too fine a point on it ...

... make a little birdhouse in your pedalboard's soul.

If it's for ballin' on bass, that's okay...

It goes without saying that I love the cardinal, even if it's a baseball thing. It was only after making about 10 bird pedals that I thought back to this sketch and was like "oh yeah, I guess this is me now."
Old friend of mine was about ten years older and was huge into birds. I would give him a little ribbing here and there about it and he would just laugh and smile. He would usually say “you’ll get there” and I would shake my head. Then, after a particularly rough day, I found myself on my patio watching and listening to the little birds and figuring out what he meant. I have only painted maybe five birds but there is plenty in the works..
