Blackhawk amplifiers Morgul boost is usable if you want drive your preamp to oblivion. Bit noisy, but gives nice grit. Dirtboxlayouts has vero layout for it, but unfortanely no schematic there. I’d like draw it, but haven’t yet been motivated for it.

Just remember 20-50pf compensation cap for 741cn between pins 1-8!

Edit. I mixed uA741 with 741CN. Latter has internal compensation, so no need for that…

Also, the Madbean Aquaboy uses MPSA18 & V571, but I think that project is discontinued. I believe he's got a newer version, but don't know if it uses these parts.

• Hermida ZenDrive (PedalPCB Mahayana) uses 2N7000
• Mad Professor Simble (PedalPCB Symbolic OD) uses 2N7000
• Fulltone OCD (PedalPCB ADHD) uses 2N7000
• OKKO Diablo OD (PedalPCB Deofol) uses J201 (albeit 5 of them)
• Runoffgroove Umble (PedalPCB) uses J201 (albeit 6 of them)
• Several Wamplers from PedalPCB use J201s, but again more than your 2 (but you can buy more J201's as presoldered/mounted SMDs from Richard (https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/mmbfj201-jfet-pre-soldered/)
