I forget who’s build report got me to order this, but I’m glad they did. The only other one-knobber I’ve tried (acupulco gold) I really didn’t vibe with, but this thing sounds awesome.

It sounded super gated at first, particularly at anything below full guitar volume. Turned the gain trimmer all the way down and that eliminated the gating, and it’s still got tons of gain, so I’ll probably just leave it there.

Tayda orange, and a cool vintage radio knob. Also got a little fancy with my lettering jig to get some different letter sizes.

i think I usually use bc549c/5089 and it just seems to work better. It’s a fuzz face though so selection is either fun or tedious
