I built a circuit awhile back but if I remember right the trim pot is setting the level or volume of the echoes, or the repeats. I don't know where it's physically set but I said it by ear to have the first repeat approx the same volume as the original signal when the level knob is cranked up.

HEy, @The Gator I'll be soon boxing this up. How do I leave out the rate LED like you did? I never know what to do. Just leave out the LED? What about the CLR? Or should I jumper both?

You can omit R103 and/or the LED, either or both.

No jumpering required.

What the man said. I put the R103 resistor in, just in case later I decide to add the rate led, but if you leave out both it is just as well.

I think I also put the CLR in just in case. I populated this board about 2 years ago lol
