So- I wired up the All Points Booster. I actually breadboarded it from the schematic as a learning tool. I didnt have a 2n5088 transistor and substituted a 2N3904. The breadboard circuit worked fine.
When I went to the PC board- there was the added part of the circuit that ends at the LED which I didn’t breadboard. I had all the components except for the 100u capacitor. I substituted a 47u. The completed PCB sounds more like a distortion with weird gating. Being that the capacitor is the only thing different, would that cause this? I hooked up the breadboard circuit to the amp and it sounds like it should. Waiting on some 100u caps now.
