I posted a pic of this Leuchtenbergia Principis 8 years ago. It's grown a bit since then.

In the process of digitizing family VHS tapes and ran across this one. Nerdy, teenage me wanted to record this special on black holes and neutron stars, and must've been too cheap to buy a blank tape.



But it didn't look like a reused old blank tape…



And lo and behold…



I knew I owned that at some point, but yeah. Some PBS special was a much better use of tape…

When I saw the pets of PPCB thread I knew I was in good company. I don't think I've ever entered a community with as much dog folk as here. <3 - It's why I knew this was the right place for such sharings!

Pretty much all my friends are cat people. Yeah, I don't know how that came to be. But from them I get stories about dead mice that end up in the robot vaccuums, so... It's not all bad. I rather pull blades of grass from buttholes than clean self-propelling meatgrinders.

Had a 10k resistor that I clipped out of something, so I decided to check out what it looks like inside.

Kinda neat.

It broke from holding it too tightly with pliers as I was scraping the coating, but it’s neat- you can see the spiral pattern in it.
