Maybe, I’ll have to ask my friend. It should just be a matter of swapping out the jack and wiring it like normal. It’s been a long day and I’m overthinking this.Do you still want to be able load a battery in there after swapping the power jack?
Jack polarity is independent of circuit polarity - you can wire up anything however you want to. Your circuit looks to be positive ground, and requires a center positive supply.Seems like I should know this. Is there anything making this circuit unable to swap the power jack?
Or would I have to swap some cap orientations as well?

I understand the point would be to convert it to center negative so it does not need it's own power supply.Jack polarity is independent of circuit polarity - you can wire up anything however you want to. Your circuit looks to be positive ground, and requires a center positive supply.
If you want to use a battery still, you'll require a 3 terminal jack. Just match the pinout to what you have now.
I will.If the goal is just to simply replace the DC jack, then yes, you can just replace it directly with any typical three terminal DC jack.
The pedal is positive tip / positive ground though. I assume your friend uses a special power supply with this one?
Reckon you could get some good clear pics of both sides of the PCB in there? For you know... science...![]()
If it is also positive ground, you can't unless you have a fully isolated power supply.I understand the point would be to convert it to center negative so it does not need it's own power supply.
It belongs to a friend. It’s actually not even working for some reason. Gotta figure that out tooRobert's too busy — you better send it to me to be traced.
Seriously, though...
I've always wanted to snoop inside an original Hep Cat.
Is it for sale?
@Robert is this enough?

Looks like she used this board for a couple different circuits.It should be, give me just a bit and I'll take a look.
You're not wrong, but it looks easy enough... and it's broken, so we kinda need a schematic.
I'm just guessing it's going to be something similar to the Peach Fuzz without the input stage.
