    Woodpecker Tremolo Not Treming...

Along with checking transistors, you might also double-check for shorts to ground on this side of the circuit. Not an expert on this circuit, but seems like this would essentially force your “Depth” control to zero.

    Deflector - First Build!

For reference, I use these DC power jacks. They fit into the pre-dilled enclosures from Tayda, which I believe is around 5/16”. Some of the larger jacks require around a 1/2” hole. If you have a step drill bit you can enlarge the hole pretty easily...

PCB Masking Repair? (Or scrap it and move on)

Oh, wow. How generous, that would be great!! My daughter will be excited too. 😁

PCB Masking Repair? (Or scrap it and move on)

I finally got around to opening the CDXL Reissue Envelop Filter (PCB282) I ordered a loong time ago and discovered there is some masking missing on the back side of the PCB. To me it looks like it was scratched since all the areas are in a line. I believe it happened prior to me receiving it...

    Issues with Paragon mini

Is there any guitar sound coming through when only one side is engaged, or just the high pitched hum? As you probably already know this pedal is two independent circuits in series (they do share a power section and common ground). So it's odd to me that it would behave the way you describe...

    Depressed when it doesn’t work

I spent a fair amount of my time on this forum reading the Troubleshooting threads, especially ones that are solved so I learned what NOT to do. Also, there are some very experienced builders on here. Taking mental notes of what questions they ask can help you troubleshoot your own builds in...

    Issues with Paragon mini

This may not entirely solve your issue, but it’s common for pedals to be more noisy when not installed in a metal enclosure. The metal enclosure acts like a faraday cage and helps protect the circuit from picking up stray signals (radio towers, electronics in your house, etc). However, that...

how to check an OP-Amp? SMD component?

Glad it works and congrats on your first build! For the LED, check the polarity to make sure you don’t have it backwards. Could also check the value and solder joints for R102. Also make sure the LED leads aren’t grounding to the enclosure.

how to check an OP-Amp? SMD component?

I’m not knowledgeable enough on FV-1 to answer your original question, but I agree with carlinb17’s comments. More pics and info would help. Is it passing sound when by-passed on the foot switch? Are the knobs doing anything? Etc. I’d also check the solder joints. Looks like R5 joint may...

Corduroy Fuzz : How to get a bit more highs or high-mids in the signal ?

Corduroy Fuzz : How to get a bit more highs or high-mids in the signal ?

Use a lower value C19, I used 4.8nF instead of the 10nF. I believe this was suggested in an older thread. Probably similar effect to changing the B25k Bright pot. Remove C18. I haven’t done this (yet), but was suggested by Mr Wampler in another forum.

    Complex Drive - Led question?

I have not built this pedal yet, but I know it's common for clipping LED's to not light up depending on the circuit. Per the schematic, it appears two of them are soft-clipping while the other two are hard-clipping... this might be why only two of yours are lighting up.

Kliché Mini - Light turns on, but only hear clean sound when on or off

I agree with PJS to check IC voltages. Other ideas for things to check: - Solder joints between the ribbon cable and the stomp switch, can only see one side in the pics. - Did you happen to check the stomp switch works before soldering? Probably rare, but I've heard of people getting bad...

I think my Pro-10 Green and Noblemen are both possessed

For reference, I had a simple boost pedal that was making a similar sound. In my case swapping IC's and transistors didn't help. The sound stayed the same when I unplugged guitar. I also cleaned up and checked the internal wiring and grounding, no change. I "solved" it by powering it with a...

    Counterweight LEDs

Yeah, sounds like you answered your own question in the edit. D1/D2 are clipping, the other LED's are in the power section and indicate the stomp switch status.

    Woodpecker Tremolo Buzz Issue

I have not built the Woodpecker, but it's interesting that you mentioned it was working fine until it was moved. Did you happen to change power supplies? Did you socket any parts that may have wiggled loose? Or perhaps it could be a cold solder joint popped loose. Pictures are usually...
