Angry Charles and a Tearjerker

Finished up the Angry Charles for a player up in Thunder Bay, re-used my McGain! Graphics as it’s got a “Marshall in a box” thing going for it. I actually prefer the sound of this compared to the Pal800 clone I build with the same graphics.

The Tearjerker I’m keeping, still needs the off board wiring but came together quickly. I just have to figure out the footswitch height. Can’t seem to find a sweet spot. It either turns on to easily when rocking, or not at all.

Do you plan to use the tearjerker for bass? If so, did you do any mods, or does the circuit work well with bass as-is?

It’s going on my guitar board. But Im sure I’ll use it on bass too. I think for bass jut engage all switches at the bottom to run all those caps!

Definitely. It just wasn’t worth the hassle for me.

Q and Mid are realistically the only things you might want to tweak on the fly. Everything else is set and forget.
