I made some, but it's sticky AF. Works good, but have to clean it after using. I might add some glycerine to try to firm it up.
Anyone make their own flux?

I have a rule if it can be done and cost is low. I will do it..
cost me 15.00 for a pound of rosin and .99 for Alcohol. I have enough rosin that my Great, Great, Great grandchildren will have some

My amp-mentor once told me not to waste time with fabbing tools that could be easily bought and the time spent building the tool to be better spent on doing other more important things.
I nearly told him "Tell that to Sir Edmund Hillary", but out of respect I explained that building the tool was in itself a good learning experience for me and something I wanted to do.
So yes to some things and no to others — and it may seem illogical as to when I do the former and choose to do the latter for diffent things.
For example...
Why build a TS-808 when you can buy a knockoff for cheaper than the parts/shipping/time costs involved in rolling your own...?
BECAUSE WE CAN AND WANT TO DO THE THING!

I came in with a stupid crack about your amp mentor and not only do you have an awesome reason to have an amp mentor but you immediately made me jealous and now I want to have an amp mentor! But you couldn't leave it there. You just had to whip out come Curtis Mayfield AND rewrite some comedy lyrics.
So now I'm feeling like I've been well and truly put back in my place but that's ok cause I've got 5 mins and 3 seconds of pusherman to groove the fook out to and it reminded me of something I haven't thought about in many years. Something that also made me very very happy when I rewatched it.
