Bad 2N5485

[OD is Glorious]

After going through everything in two of my builds that did not work I got down to the culprit: bad 2n5485s. This was so damn aggravating and I don’t remember where I got these damn things. Consider this a PSA if you didn’t already know.

Being end of life, it’s always a risk to buy. The MMBF5485 is still easily available though.
