Broken DS2 from Russia?

I’m thinking about buying this and fixing it… but can I trust it?!?

Yea, that's a DS-2. Sounds different than the DS1. As long as the board is in good shape you shouldn't have a problem fixing it. You'll need a good working knowledge of schematics and troubleshooting to get it up and running. Good luck!

ops right! A friend from high school used to own one. I think it wouldn’t be too challenging to fix.

Can you get the seller to show you the inside? So far, all we know is it has a case and some knobs.

I think it has a metal zone in it, I wouldn’t trust it.

Also, why wouldn’t you trust it?

It’s from Russia…so inside is a smaller DS-2, and in side that one is an even smaller DS-2, and inside that one is an even smaller DS-2…

If you can’t fix it you could always reuse the enclosure for another build.

I tend to look at eBay like I do a casino with better odds… the casino I know is going to take my $$$ eBay there is a chance I might actually walk away happy when it’s all said and done.
