. . . with two broken ribs and a collapsed lung. Goona be a while before I get back to my bench. Doc patched me up good, but hurts like hell after having a tube inserted into my chest to address the collapsed lung. Breathing much better now but no lifting anything over 20 pounds for at least 8 weeks.

Took a slip down the last three steps of the staircase and gravity saw to it the left side of my ribcage landed squarely across the edge of step #3.
Everyone should have a morphine drip. 🏥 💉👨‍⚕️

Oooof, that sounds painful, glad you're ok dude. DM me some of that morphine!

On the mend, that's great. Stairs will get ya. Hey, if you are handing out morphine drips, who am I to turn it down.

My wife had a collapsed lung ~30 years ago and all she got was a scar as a souvenir. Hopefully, that's the worst that comes of it for you too. Good luck remembering not lift too much for the next two months.

Bruised some ribs a few times as well. Can't imagine breathing being more painful, but with broken ribs... I am sure you get to experience that. You can look forward to better times ahead, which is a silver lining of going through a thing like this. To appreciate breathing without the getting-shivved sensation.

Went to a rowdy sold out indoor metal festival a day or two after I fell on my own elbow (🙈) because the lineup was too good too pass. Doesn't exactly come recommended, but it's etched deeper into my memories than many others because of it.
