Canadians ordering from Tayda, what shipping service do you use?

For what it's worth, I asked this same question on Reddit a few weeks ago and had several Canadians tell me they had just made huge orders via DHL with minimal extra fees. One user said they just ask Tayda to mark the value on the package as low as possible, so I tried that and ended up with just DHL processing fees and minimal taxes (an extra $23 total).

Tayda was very communicative and willing to do whatever made it cheapest for me. The only thing they were worried about was the charge for extra line items, as they couldn't get any info on that. No one else on Reddit had experienced this issue, so I took the risk.

Not sure I would do this everytime, as I'm not usually in a rush, but in this case even the slow shipping was going to be much more expensive.

Oof. That's too bad. Hopefully you get it eventually! I haven't ordered from them in a long time. Used to love Barry's Best Hookup Wire, but he stopped shipping it to Canada at some point (maybe he started again).

Barry is a good dude. He never got the package back. Refunded my order. If it shows up here, I’ll pay him again. Totally, bizarre!

saw the new run of pedals today btw - looking great!
 
I tried to save some dough on a small Tayda order by using the postal service Never again! It took a month to get here. No duty, but frankly, not worth the waiting time. Life is short. Then it ends.

Did anything come out of this? The same shows for my PPCB order, so I'm wondering if it's some kind of a glitch, or if they did deliver it back to sender, or what happened.
 
I have a large ish (cost wise not size wise) order that I would like to place with Tayda and am mulling over the best option.
It’s mainly components and a couple of enclosures.
Any thoughts to avoid being shafted AGAIN! ??

I did DHL for my latest large-ish order and asked Tayda to mark the value low. Paid about $25 extra in expected DHL fees, which was cheaper than any of the other options available, but YMMV

I've been doing this as well. I just put in the order comments section and they just do it which is great. Averaging about $20-40 per order depending on the size as opposed to $60-90 per order which is much more reasonable.
