Looking for a link to a component or piece that will allow me to splice two wires together. Specifically I want to to take an output wire that would normally go from pcb to a jack tip and have it go to two places - one to to the jack tip and the other as an input to a sound to light pcb. Any suggestions? i don’t want to simply splice two wires together. Thanks!!!

It's probably just me not understanding...but are you wanting to know how to physically accomplish this, or are you asking how to successfully introduce additional components to an existing circuit?
Physically, the simplest way is to connect another lead wire from the output jack tip to the input of a sound2light device.
About that other bit, I think it would have an effect on the original circuit, but I'll let someone else with a greater knowledge assist. Cheers!
