Cordyceps Ring Modulator Octocoupler

I haven't gotten my pcb yet so I don't know what's printed on it. Is the vactrol in the Cordyceps something special or is the standard roll-your-own guy fine here?

I'll get the BOM posted for you today.

I used VTL5C9 in the prototype, I meant to try a hand rolled opto but completely forgot about it.

If I get a chance I'll pop one in and see how it does.

I've got a variety of Vactrols I can audition in it. Though, no 5C9s.
My boards should be here today, so will get it worked up tomorrow or Wednesday.

Curious to see how similar it is to Craig Anderton's Balanced Ring Modulator

I'll order one of those "too good to be true" sets and see how they perform.
I ordered these from AliExpress, the same ones that are available everywhere else. I doubt they're Xvive related, but there's a good chance they'll work, it's not a complicated design.

I have some LDRs so I could easily make my own if I knew what to test for. Or I could experiment, I guess.

I've had some of those in the past. If I recall, they're actually closest to VTL5C3
