Shouldn’t be too hard to rework the board to be a stereo muff if you ditch the toggle switch and rework the I/O pads. All I’m saying is a stereo muff could be preeeeety cool for totally fvcking up stereo synths and stuff

R24 is only part of the tone-bypass circuit on the regular Muffin fuzz. Since this one doesn’t have a tone bypass switch it’s not relevant. C14 is power filtering cap on the regular muffin fuzz, and probably is what is designated as C100 on the Double Muffin— Robert started designating stuff within the power section (filtering caps, protection diodes, charge pump stuff) with a 1xx suffix at some point.
C15 is also only present in versions with a tone bypass afaik, so it wouldn’t be there for this.

Curious, do you know what C15 does? It looks like it’s in the circuit regardless of the position of the tone bypass toggle. I’m sure it serves a purpose, but it looks like C15 and C12 (one on each end of the tone section/bypass, but outside of the switch) are redundant? I’m sure that’s not the case though.

C15 blocks DC current flow to ground through R17 > Tone Pot > R18.

The tone bypass switch pops when switching without it.

Imma fill out my muff collection by buying 3 of these and a muffinator. I already built a Green Russian and the lazy wolf in me is inclined to just stuff the other versions from the Muffin BOM into the boxes as they're listed without further thought. But I figured I'd ask to see if anyone would suggest swapping these around for any objective or subjective reason. Let me know what you'd build if you were on this mission!

also, if for some demented reason you want to build a big box NY reissue, you need that cap. it's 1uf for that version IIRC

I think "C15" should be included in ALL the MUFF layouts, it's easy enough to jumper it when not needed.


That would make modding things a LOT easier.
