Dwarven hammer without 1p8t

I have been thinking on using a potentiometer instead of the 1p8t rotary switch but I have no idea what capacitor and potentiometer would be ok to use to get close to the designed range.

Any help is really appreciated.

What you'd end up with is something like the Bass control on the Timmy.

You wouldn't have quite the same versatility as the rotary switch, but if you tend to gravitate towards one of the rotary settings that might not be an issue.

I was thinking that, something like the timmy or the zen drive, but I'll rather wait and buy the 1p8t then, thanks
