For me this is a great medium rock drive, especially pushed by a Klon type circuit for just a little more heat and mids, but it’s great on its own also.
2 Mods:
1. 50kA on the tone pot makes it much better sweep. Volume could stand to be log pot also, but I didn’t change it.
2. I put a 3way switch for C2. This controls how much bass is cut before clipping. F=1/(2piRC).
Middle position: 100n (soldered to pcb C2 Spot)
(1.59kHz bass cut) (tightest)
Bottom position: 222n (100n+22n added in parallel with onboard 100n)
(716Hz bass cut)
Top position: 430n (330n added in parallel with the onboard 100n) (close to stock 470n)
(370Hz bass cut) (boomiest)
I have seen some layouts online with 100n instead of 470n, some of which also have a mids knob (4knob version), but not always. Anyway, the 3 knobs in the 222nF setting is right for me.
