First Wish List post

I wish them success if they can stick with it and carry on…
Myself, I’d definitely get more of a kick out of modding my own vintage beater suitcase than buying a pristine-new portmanteau from the Appalachian pedaler drumming up business and trying to snare customers online.

Q “So…You’re a musician, what do you play?”
A “Luggage, vintage Samsonite — it carries better tone and fly-in gigs are a breeze with check-in baggage.”

It's truly an analog circuit, so those who have a distaste for DSPs will enjoy the clarity and full-richness that only comes through vintage-analog-leather.
Most of the components are easy to source, so there are no back-alley deals or worrying over if you are supporting a totalitarian government invasion or providing money to mine blood-minerals. If you have a concern that PETA may be pounding on your door to another beat over the leather, vinyl is an equivalent acoustical substitution .
It even complies with the new energy-conservation guidelines, and does not cause any problems in your signal chain. The input and output impedances are completely transparent.

I made one of these a while back after seeing Shakey graves with one. Wasn’t too hard but took some time. Fun project but a realize I really should attempt to make a guitar sound bearable before multitasking
That's a groovy kick! I love the case too.

resourceful. makes me think one of the old samsonite hard sided suitcases (circa 1975) would be a good choice. right up there with boutique pedals too -- about $600 plus $100 shipping. so analog indeed.

I’m confused, usually the bass drum pedal is on the right no?
The right no? Oh...that must be what you kids call feet nowadays...
Maybe they are left-footed....(or left-no'ed for you swingin hipsters)? :D

looks like the rig is designed to be sat upon with the drum behind your legs, or used in front. so it could be a both ways kind of setup. I guess you could order one and have it constructed either way as well.
That makes much more sense.

Phil Lynott’s kid… following in Dad’s footsteps after watchin’ the old man’s tapes of Hendrix.

Love the vibe of Carlin’s version, and love the early (and later) Shaky Graves stuff.

I’ve seen Junior Brown’s wife play a red suitcase with him.

Hmmm… “Hey Mom! Where in the basement are those old Samsonites?”

It also carries the benefit of cutting out any middleman when bitchin' about the drummer. :cautious:

I think I have seen Junior Brown's wife playing suitcase with her husband too. Quite a guitar player, that's for sure.
