Got a good desk lamp?

I think I spent less than $20 on a clamp-on swing arm desk lamp from Amazon with 3 color settings and 10 brightness settings. I'm kind of mad about how good it is because it is HaFundy brand, which is just the most sweaty Chinesium name it could possibly have. That said, I wasted no time putting a proper "twat" sticker on it courtesy of my favorite candy distributor.

I use one of these
Was on my grandfather's drafting table for years, then his work bench when retired. Sentiment aside, a good lamp. Swiss made and has held up. Can grab and reposition and it stays put. Not sure the locking base is 100% in that listing.

I made this when I was REALLY broke… and it works so good no point in replacing it.. made it out of cardboard tinfoil and Elmer’s glue …. For some reason I think I had the lamp cord and socket lying around ( Not don’t recall buying it so the whole thing free-fiddy out the door 🤣

Well, as you know, I'm a fan of the dirt simple swag lighting. But that's if you want just a permanent overhead light setup. Height is somewhat adjustable depending on how far ahead you think with the length of chain and hook. They used to be sold at costco, but I can't find them anymore, but Inertek made this adjustable panel LED module that just screws into a standard lightbulb/edison socket. Adjustable temperature and intensity ranging from 1600 lumens to 6000 lumens

I like an led strip light mounted to the ceiling above my desk. You have to mess with locating it far enough back to not get the glare in your eyes. I usually do them pretty much directly overhead.

I use an ordinary swing arm lamp from a thrift store. Removed the shroud, use an LED spotlight bulb that has its own tiny shroud. It's pointed up for diffused lighting most of the time, and I point it down for detail work. I can easily angle it around to reduce glare.

I always wanted one of these:

So I bought one from Germany years ago. It wasn't cheap but not too bad. I use a little warm LED bulb in it and I love it. I don't normally splash out on decor but for whatever reason I just wanted one of these. If you have ever seen Kommissar Rex, the police drama with the dog from Vienna, you may have seen these lamps on their desks. Not sure if it's related, but since getting this lamp I have solved a few murders.
