SOLVED How do these thingies work?

I bought these J201 smd's that are pre-soldered and came with these adapter thingies, but I am unsure how am I supposed to solder them?

Snap them apart, put the 90° pins in the PCB and solder them, then add the little adapters to the pins

Thanks! Would I want the short or the long legs of the adapter soldered to the pcb? Like I am confused what the orientation of those small adapter plates should be to the main pcb?
