Very excited to have this one built. It was one that originally led me to this killer site and something I’ve been curious to hear for myself, and there was no way I was going to pay some clever hipster $250 for a modified RAT.
Seemed like it took forever to procure the parts...that 390pf cap just slipped through two of my orders.
I finally fired it up at 1am. There was no light from the LED so I was resigned to go to bed with a midnight snack called FAIL but lo and behold I heard glorious distortion!
First impression is that this has a really nice sounding grind...I think I’m going to like this!
I inelegantly spliced in a new LED and wrapped some electrical tape around it to keep it “safe”.
Headed to bed with a pitcher of WIN!
