There are reports of the tap tempo not behaving properly in these unless you loosen the screws in the cover....

This explains why, the tap tempo switch is connected to the pin header that sits at the top of the hill.

It's a feature not a defect.

The input buffer is slightly different and the last opamp stage has been converted to discrete transistors.

The S/C switch controls some CMOS switches that alter 6 points in the circuit, including switching between two different gyrators.
