This would be super useful, as I am often asked to add a boost to various drive circuits and the Jack Orman is the one I always use. A simple, small pcb that could mount to the back of a pot that I could stuff in another box, or maybe switch mounted with a trimpot, that way I could use a trimmer or run wire to a separate pot.
