Jackson Audio is relaunching Fulltone

Totally. Unfortunately when putting stuff online one has to be very careful to provide the appropriate context. This applies to everybody, not just Mike. Even this discussion we are having would be much easier in person, ideally in front of a beer! :)
Yup. And in internet land, if your post got out, you would have 2 divided camps within a day. Those saying your post says “Giovanni is giving everyone free beer” and others saying “Giovanni needs a beer to talk to anyone”.
Either way, I’d still love to sit down and have a few drinks of everyone’s choice and talk about life and pedals!

I really like pretty much every thing I’ve ever tried from Fulltone. To this day the pre-MOSFET FD2 is my “holy grail” overdrive, has yet to be topped for me. All of it has sounded good to me and been built rock-solid.

That said I’d be a bit apprehensive here. I don’t have any beef personally but it’s probably not unfair to say that Mike has a bit of a reputation as being difficult to deal with and a bit abrasive when it comes to customer service. Jackson amps were notoriously unreliable and customer support was basically non-existent. Now Jackson pedals are a mixed bag (to say the least) when it comes to reliability.

So to have a company that has an iffy track record on reliability producing pedals for a guy who has an iffy track record on customer service… I guess we will see if that’s a recipe for success or not.

It looks like this is going just about how I expected it to...

If his reputation didn’t already tarnish the company name (assuming rumors are true and not just political team loyalty based bashing), Jackson’s attention to detail/QA will surely drive the final nail in the coffin!

I’d expect that quality from a budget level pedal OR a truly artisan pedal where one person is doing everything (ie hobbyist selling to find their building addiction)… but for a company that arguably was one of the OG boutique brands (and started the trend, really), completely unacceptable
