Lead Solder Overdrive treble/bass seems to have no effect

Is it something I did or is just the way the board works? Mids work fine but bass and treble don't seem to be working. Deep switch works great.

The treble was the only lug pot, the rest are pcb mount. It was making contact with the toggle switch. A little black tape fixed that but I'm still stuck on why the bass isn't working.

Post some pics of both sides of the board. This is pretty much a Marshall tone stack, so no voltage readings are necessary here. You probably have a bad solder joint or C14 might not be the correct value.

Thanks! I'll check that out. It was a kit from Musikding so it's more likely a bad solder joint. The bass pot measures at 500k for some reason but it is a 1M.

There is some parallel resistance when in circuit. I'm assuming you measured it in circuit.

Check your potentiometer sweepers (lug 2) for continuity (bad pot check). Also check C12 + R16 values (15Khz high pass bleed). Check all the values in the tone stack.

I replaced the pot and still the same problem. This time I used a lug pot so I can see in behind it. Will check C12 and R16 and all my joints, that's probably what it is.

Seems like bass is stuck at halfway, still no control with the pot.

pictures dude.. pictures..... and do you have the back of the lug pot insulated etc etc... again.. clear pictures of your build front and back
