Making LED Brighter

If you want a super-bright LED, check the data sheet of your LED to find its minimum threshold CLR value, and for longevity maybe go a little higher in value than that.

OK. I have a 2 in 1 that I am finishing up and the 2 LEDs on one side are blue, and are strong and solid when activated. On the other side is a green and it's a weaker and I can see the internal parts, so I want to boost it a bit, but not too much, just so it's more solid like the blue ones. It's all fine tuning. They're from Tayda and I don't see a link to a data sheet but this is the info they have for each.

Those MCD values don't match real light output in my experience.
I would drop the CLR to 2k2 and see if you're happy with it.

I have never breadboard-ed. But I’ve been thinking about getting into it.

I built a jig (after numerous LED mishaps) with SIP sockets and a switch to swap out the resistor values before I choose a CLR.
So many of my LEDs from Mouser don't work with the standard 4k7 resistor. (Some don't light at all!)

Here's my DIY rock-it-before-you box-it setup...
(CRL sb CLR. Only after taking this pic did I notice.) :ROFLMAO:
