Hi,
I just completed the Drive '55 and it sounds awesome. However I set the trim pots for Q1 and Q3 by ear (about 3 o'clock) because I can't measure the bias.
One probe goes to ground (case) and one to the outer left leg of Q1 and Q3, right? I'm measuring around 5,6 Volts on both, no matter how I turn the trim pots but the sound does definitely change/improve the more I turn them clockwise.
Do I have to measure at a different point on the board?
