Have you visually checked all your component values and orientation are correct

To the best of my ability. For some reason I'm suspicious of the 47pf disc. The marking on the ceramic cap is 47. Is it supposed to be a different material?

47 is the correct code for it

They work unbelievably well. I'm not sure whats going on. I mistook the bass for level because of how much it has on tap. The treble is certainly working too. I've tried every combination, but the c500k pot refuses to make any difference.

I reflowed the TL072 and now it won't sound at all. I hear some scratching when turning the treble pot.

Old thread. I just built one and am having the same problem. I only get sound when the gain is at 10. I might get the crumb board for amplification and try it. There’s too much resistance somewhere. Maybe it’s the gain pot.

I took the 1N5817 diode out to finish another pedal. This is in the pile of “doesn’t work” pedals.

I'd take the guts of the pedal out of the enclosure;
start a new thread of its own with lots of detailed pics (lotsa light),
and maybe post a link to this thread in its own thread.
You'll get more traction (help) with a fresh new thread of your own than bumping an old topic.
